The journey
From selection to full-time engineer.
A milestone-based path from your final year to a permanent role, with dates at every step.
- Sep – Oct 2026
Selection
Clear three rounds: an online assessment, a five-hour hackathon and a final interview.
- Dec 2026 (tentative)
Internship begins
Join at the end of semester 7 for a six-month programme through your final semester.
- Months 3 and 6
Performance reviews
Two merit-based reviews of engineering skill, ownership, collaboration and fit.
- From June 2027
Full-time engineer
Selected interns join Cymonic full-time as Junior Engineers.
Where you work: month one full-time at our Kochi office; from month two, hybrid, with at least 20 hours a week in the office. Your reporting manager confirms the days.
Selection
Three rounds, each testing something different.
- Round 1
Online assessment
A proctored online test of aptitude, logical reasoning, and programming: data structures, algorithms, language basics and debugging.
- Round 2
Five-hour hackathon
Shortlisted students work in teams of five on a real problem, assessed live on technical skill, problem-solving, collaboration, behaviour and cultural fit.
- Round 3
Final interview
A walk-through of your hackathon work and the reasoning behind it, then fundamentals, trade-offs, and how you learn, own work and handle setbacks.
Selected candidates receive an internship offer with an onboarding timeline, a mentor, and a path to full-time employment.
From campus to Cymonic
In their own words.
“I built AI-powered document pipelines and real SSO features, solving actual business problems, not exercises. And the team? Always ready to help, no question too small.”
SubhashManipal University “Treated like part of the company from day one, trusted with work that mattered, not busywork. No one expected me to know it all; they just made it easy to ask.”
RamMA College “Frontend, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, agentic AI finding patterns in messy data. I worked across the whole stack, and the team made all of it feel approachable.”
MufeedaMA College “Real business problems, often AI-driven, never practice ones. And I was never solving them alone.”
JohnMuthoot Institute of Technology “Cloud platforms and agentic AI, every project moved the business forward. Never once stuck figuring it out alone.”
Akshay BModel Engineering College “Real projects, not solo college work. Cymonic HALO taught me Docker, Azure, and how software actually gets built as a team.”
